We made it!

Hey everyone, Just a super quick update since we only have 3 minutes left on our time here at the computer. We made it into Christchurch today. All in all it was a super easy trip. We will give you more details tomorrow. Love to all of you...Mike and Brooke

All right! Glad to hear you're safe and sound. I'll spread the word around here.

It's a toasty 28 degrees (F) out tonight. I'm guessing it's a bit warmer over there, eh?

Were there sheepskins on the seats?? Remember that if you miss the cold you can head for the Antarctic museum and sit in the ice room for awhile!! We plan to be at your place Tues-Thursday and will make sure nothing has frozen!! "Woofs" say Hi---they got pedicures tonight (all eight feet!)We are waiting breathlessly for your next adventure...wheels?? Love, Mom and Dad K.

We're glad to hear that you arrived safe and sound. We are looking forward to your next update. How's the weather? It's 19 degrees on the Cape with snow on the ground with more in the forecast. We could use some of the summer warmth that you must be enjoying.

Hi, glad to hear you made it OK. The pictures bring back fond memories hiking by myself around Mt. Cook.

Here is the name of the company on which I shipped my car across from Picton to Wellington: Strait Shipping. Here is their web site link: http://www.strait.co.nz/

It cost me $77.50 US dollars in 1998. Looks like it will be about $165 NZ for a camper van (you might get it for as cheap as $120 NZ if they don't consider your retro fitted van a camper van).

Enjoy your trip and keep us posted.

Terry
